Congressman Mel Watt (12th District of North Carolina) today announced that Charlotte resident Chrishon McManus who attends North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville has accepted his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy for the class entering Summer 2007.

The United States Air Force Academy is among the top academic institutions in the country and provides young men and women four years of academic, military and physical education to prepare them for leadership as officers in the military.

Congressman Watt said: “I am pleased to have nominated Chrishon McManus to the United States Air Force Academy.  His accomplishments and record were outstanding during the nominating process and I am confident he will perform well at the Air Force Academy and that he will serve our nation honorably.”
